Mompox or Mompós, officially Special, Tourist, Historical and Cultural District of Santa Cruz de Mompox, is a district of Colombia, in the department of Bolívar. Due to the state of conservation of its historic center, it was declared a National Monument in 1959 and a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995. Mompox borders the municipalities of Pinillos and San Fernando. Its municipal seat is 248 km from Cartagena de Indias.
