COONORTE began its operations in 1964 covering the routes of the cities of Medellín, Caucasia, Yarumal, Campamento and San Andrés de Cuerquia, under the name Cooperativa Norteña de Transportadores.
Currently, COONORTE covers more than 50 destinations in Colombia and is one of the most recognized passenger transport, cargo and parcel services companies in the country.
Its main office is located in the city of Medellín and it currently has agencies in more than 40 municipalities in the department of Antioquia and municipalities in Córdoba, Boyacá, Tolima and Caldas.
