Agustín Codazzi or Codazzi, known as the agro-energy capital of Colombia, is a municipality located in the north of the department of Cesar, 60 km from the capital of the Valledupar department and a few km from the Venezuelan border.
It is the third city in population and importance of the department of Cesar, and it is an important center in agro-industrial, agricultural and livestock production in the department, it is also the 8th producer of coal in Colombia.
