The Northern Intermunicipal Transportation Terminal is located in the northwestern part of the city, in the Caribe neighborhood, and can be accessed through the Caribe Station of the Medellin Metro. It provides transportation services to the areas located to the east and north of Antioquia: Bogotá, Tunja, Santander, and to the main cities of the North Coast of Colombia: Cartagena de Indias, Barranquilla, Santa Marta, Sincelejo, Montería, Magangué and others.

North Transport Terminal of Medellin History
The year 1970 began the construction of the first large transport center for Medellín, the Mariano Ospina Pérez Transport Terminal, giving the solution to the transport problem through the construction, organization, administration and operation of a terminal for passengers of buses, railways and others mass means of transport for the municipality of Medellin.
Construction began on a 20-hectare lot, with 35,000 m2 of built area, adjacent to the city center and surrounded by the Northeast and Northwest communes.
It was in December 1983 when the construction process of the Medellin Transport Terminal was completed, starting the routes for the regional and interdepartmental public service vehicles that were to use the new facilities of the Terminal.
