Buga is a Colombian municipality in the center of the department of Valle del Cauca. It is famous for the Basilica of the Lord of Miracles, which is visited by pilgrims from all over the world. Its official name is Guadalajara de Buga, because it is crossed by the Guadalajara River, also called Río de las Piedras. It is located in the flat part of Valle del Cauca and is one of the cities with the most history not only in the department but in the country, it has great colonial and modern architecture.
