Planeta Rica is a Colombian municipality located in the department of Córdoba. It is located to the south east of the department of Córdoba, bordering to the north with the municipalities of Montería, San Carlos and Pueblo Nuevo; to the south with Montelíbano. Planeta Rica is known as “The Beautiful & Cordial City” and its estimated population is 68,000 inhabitants.
Transportation in Planeta Rica
For transportation to the main cities of the country, Planeta Rica has headquarters of the followwing companies: Brasilia, Rápido Ochoa, Coonorte, Rápido el Carmen as well as taxis. For the capital of the department buses and small buses (Montra) Torcoroma, Rapido del Carmen provide the service with good frequencies. Camperos and some goats travel to the rural area.
For urban transport, moto-taxis, moto-cars and some taxis are used to travel to the different neighborhoods and paths near the municipality. There is no mass transportation system in Planeta Rica nor the population that demands it.
